TechLap Vehicle is used in conjunction with abrasive to form our TechLap line of products. TechLap Vehicle is an oil-based solution that blends easily with the abrasive to make the finished lapping compound. TechLap Vehicle may also be used as a lapper system flush. As a lapper flush, TechLap Vehicle will clean and suspend abrasive buildup within lapper sump, pipeing and lapper cabinet walls. Residual lapping vehicle will mix into fresh compound recharge with no adverse affect to product washability or stability.
TechLap is an abrasive silicon carbide compound formulated for the finishing and polishing of metal surfaces to ensure precision mating of metal parts. TechLap produces highly polished surfaces in valve, valve guide operations and creates smooth surface finish in machined parts, such as ring and pinion gear teeth, to prevent chatter in mated surfaces and reduce NVH. TechLap is easily removed with most conventional parts cleaning systems. TechLap may be provided in multiple abrasives and abrasive FEPA sizes ranging from F180 – F600.
